The Guardian rounds up the best comments, questions and answers from our recent live chat on tomorrow's journalist – what tools and skills will they need to survive and thrive?
We will be conducting live radio interviews in the MA radio studio for third year students from 3 to 5 pm on Tuesday 14 February. Choose a news story you want to talk about from that day's agenda. Please bring two copies of a cue and a maximum of half a page of bullet points as a briefing sheet.
Then on Tuesday 6 March at the same time we will be doing a class on the structure of TV pieces and VO.
For both classes we will meet in the old MA newsroom where you do conference.
Would have been very useful 'before' our last ever assessed radio newsday this Friday.
Jason, if the only thing that mattered was preparing for a news day then you would be right.
But live radio two ways is excellent practise for TV two ways and you are doing a TV news day at the end of March.
It will also be great practice for your future career as a journalist.
Incidentally, Alex Ward from BBC Kent will be giving one to one coaching and feedback from this class. Alex does a lot of live interviews and knows what works.
Don't miss this class.
Don't forget to bring two copies of a cue and a short briefing sheet for your chosen story.
