A pink Hello Kitty USB stick has been found in the UG newsroom. 

Deconstructing the news

John Mair will be holding a session for all students in the newsroom at 1.00 on Monday 6 February on deconstructing BBC News at Ten for Thursday 2 February or Friday 3 February.

Referencing Workshop

UELT will be delivering a referencing workshop, concentrating on the Harvard method, at 1.00 on Wednesday 15 February in the UG newsroom.  The session is open to all students who are unsure of how to reference.  Year 1 particularly should attend.

Daily Mail Training Scheme

Sue Ryan, Training Manager Daily Mail, will be visiting the Centre on 1 February at 1.00 to talk about the gradute training schemes offered by the Daily Mail.  Her talk will be aimed primarily at postgraduate and third year students but students in years 1 and 2 are also welcome to attend if they are interested in finding out more.

Tim Jotischky Masterclass

Tim Jotischky, Deputy Editor of the Sunday Telegraph, will be delivering a Masterclass at 1.00 on Tuesday 7 February in the undergraduate newsroom.

Vaughan Smith Talk rescheduled

Please note that the talk by Vaughan Smith of the Frontline Club has been rescheduled to 25 January at 1.00 in the large newsroom.

iPhone Found

An iPhone has been found in the newsroom.  Please come and claim it.

Christmas Party - Urgent

Matt Charles has very kindly managed to secure a room at no cost at the Lordswood Leisure Centre for Thursday 15 December.  They will not be able to supply food but there will be a cash bar.  If you are interested in going ahead with a party at this location on that date please confirm to Matt (not to me!) asap.  His email is mc564@kent.ac.uk.  Please note that you will need to organise transport there and back yourselves.
